The day I turned a year older in the land of Legos

Sometimes a woman needs to have day at the theme park.

Which is exactly what I did to usher in my 34th year of existence in this world. Read: birthday. And yes, I'm thirty-freakin'-four!

Theme park of choice: Legoland Malaysia.

We booked the day tour package with 2-way coach service through WTS Travel. Park opens at 10 am, so the only departure time from Singapore was at 8:30 am. Gah. Pick-up and drop-off point was at The Singapore Flyer (which was quite inconvenient since we were staying at Choa Chu Kang, which meant we had to leave the house at 7am). Anyway, if you're staying at the east side, it should be no problem for you.

So we left the house at around 7:30ish and got there promptly at 8:00am. Coach departed at exactly 8:25. Whooppee!

We arrived at Legoland at 10am but we did not go inside right away as we were FAMISHED. Good thing there was a mall right in front of the park with a lot of restaurants to choose from.

Guess where we had my birthday brunch?

Woot woot! A taste of home! And of course I had bangsilog, waffles and iced chocolate. Happy tummy indeed.

If you're a fan of Legos, then you will have a Legorgasm. Haha. Pure genius. Pure creativity. And thousands and thousands of Legos all around.

Cute photo with my honey.
I wanted to bring this adorable Legoman home
but I didn't think he'd say yes.

Angkor Wat
Ahoy, a pirate ship!
Right under Einstein's nose.
Word of advice: If you decide to visit the park, put on a ton of sunblock. Arm yourselves with sunnies, hats and umbrellas. Bring a pocket fan if you can, plus ice cold water, as the heat can get unbearable.
It was quite a challenge to enjoy the Lego artistry all around the park while trying not to pass out from the sheer afternoon heat. The kiddos will have a great time here, that's for sure. Lots of activities for them to do here. But for us adults, not a lot. But it was still a very nice place to visit and be awed. There's a part of the park that is still being developed, so hopefully there'd be more rides and attractions there in the future.
That's me with my honey and my brothers-in-law Ed and Emman.
It was indeed a very happy birthday for me.
Thank you, Babykoy, for celebrating with me and for loving me everyday.
Thank you, God, for the wonderful gift of family and friends, good health and happy hearts. ♥
Here's to another happy year ahead!
